Curriculum
When students join Vyners in Year 7 they begin the Key Stage 3 programme. This is a broad and balanced range of subjects that also develops pupils’ personal learning and thinking skills and their ability to work independently and make decisions about their learning. They also address issues of citizenship and look at the challenges facing them as young adults.
In Year 10 pupils move in to Key Stage 4 where there are core subjects that all pupils study and optional subjects that they can study if they wish. These courses lead to GCSE or equivalent qualifications. In addition, they continue to develop as independent learners and responsible young citizens.
Many of our pupils stay on for Vyners Sixth Form. This is a vibrant community where many aspirational and stimulating subjects are available to study alongside a commitment to community involvement.
