Reports to:                Assistant Headteacher
Salary:                      MPS / UPS      (Outer London)  +  TLR2b
Start Date:            September 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a dedicated and passionate PSHE Co-ordinator.  This is an exciting role for an individual who is committed to fostering student development and wellbeing, ensuring that Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PSHE) is an integral part of our curriculum alongside the statutory requirements for relationships and sex education (RSE).  Vyners School is looking to appoint someone who will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high quality learning experiences across the school, contributing to a culture that promotes positive values and personal growth.  Working closely with academic and pastoral teams to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery, the post would suit an energetic and experienced subject teacher with a strong track record of supporting staff and students in PSHE / RSE lessons.

This is a key position within the school and is an additional responsibility post, therefore we are keen to hear from candidates who can teach in English, maths, science, humanities or religious studies at key stages 3 and 4.

Vyners is a very popular and oversubscribed mixed eight form entry, 11-18 comprehensive school, situated in a pleasant residential area in North West London, bordering Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.    We have a track record of real success at all Key Stages.  In 2024, 81% of students achieved grades 9-4 in both English and Maths at GCSE and we are consistently ranked in the top 10% of all schools nationally for progress measures and attainment.   At A-Level 26% of all grades were A* - A and 50% A* - B.   The school converted to academy status on 1 November 2011 and is part of the Vanguard Learning Trust which also includes one other secondary and three primary schools.

We are well known for high academic standards, good behaviour, and our strong community spirit including a strong house system with students leading their peers.  Pupils benefit from excellent relationships with each other and with staff.  They are well cared for and have adults they trust and who they can talk to if they have problems” (Ofsted, 2025).   Many students are involved in extracurricular sport, music and drama, performing at a high level including prestigious public events and performing in our own school productions.

We offer you:

  • A well established and well respected Continual Professional Development   programme.
  • Creative opportunities and mentoring for continual career progression.
  • A friendly, innovative and exciting community in which to work.
  • A comprehensive and first class new employee induction programme.
